Xiuchen's research focuses on the impact of global climate change on plants and their adaptability. He integrates fieldwork, remote sensing, and other advanced tools to gain a comprehensive understanding of plant-environment interactions. Before joining the University of Iowa, he earned a bachelor's degree in China, where he developed a deep fascination with geography and ecology. He is now a Ph.D. student at Oregon State University.
